Global Trends in Chemicals Management
Chemical regulation is a growing trend in current global development. The chemical industry has caused potential harm to human health and the environment. In 2002, the United Nations announced the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM), which is expected to improve the chemicals management system globally by 2020. Many countries have also begun to develop their own regulations for chemical management. Screening for potentially harmful chemical practices is the goal of human health and environmental protection.
