The structural chains within the cosmetics industry are becoming more complex as it adapts to market demands and marketing strategies. Current cosmetics management in Taiwan can be divided into pre-launch, post-launch, and cosmetics factory management, which includes mandatory testing, the regulation of medicated cosmetics, and the testing of general cosmetics. In the future, cosmetics will be regulated through source management. The Product Information File (PIF) must be completed if the product is intended to be sold, or given as gifts or samples. PIF registration is required for a market launch.
